Kids...

Not relie a bag fan of them but somehow find this tribe the most difficult to woo.
They are outspoken they want their things to be done the way they want and comprehend in their little mind. If not done that way they will cry/make noise/fight and make their challenger surrender.
I sometime wonder are they stronger than us (obviously I am talking of mental strength).
We grow up and gain physical strength but do we grow mentally also with the same rate. Why and when is this development hindered/affected .Does too much of reasoning/analysis and facts impedes this growth.
Obviously in their case the cost of failure is minimal but are we also that Rich yet to worry so much about the cost.

Why Cynicism is Good..!

You decide your own virtues; you detach yourself from all predefined/set ideas of luxuries, you remove the clutter from your life and lead a life in sync with nature.
You define your possessions and not the other way round.
I wonder Y cynicism is taken a negative trait then. Is living by your own choice and defining your own rules not a good thing.
Y is appeasing the so called “SOCIETY” is so important. The best quality of a cynic is Shamelessness.
If you can’t be one try getting in touch with one.
They can be your magic MIRROR sometimes.

Spontaneity!

Spontaneity is supposedly a sign of an active and impulsive mind where the mind doesn’t allow thinking but act.
Thinking about the possible outcomes and then acting judiciously, consciously is one way of dealing with things and the other way is to just let things take its course.
Which is a better option to go for?
Spontaneity obviously involves greater risk and uncertainty whereas weighing the pros and cons of your actions and then acting is a safer option at least you save yourself from obvious blunders.
We have been programmed to think and then act wisely right from our childhood.
1. Follow your time table and study! (And of course most of us managed to score decent marks)
2. Follow the trend and opt for subjects! (And hence most of us opted for what others were going for)
3. Follow the companies and apply for the best one.
Crux: Follow the safest path and make sure you don’t make mistakes. Invest time in thinking and then join the race. Make sure somebody has already taken that path and it sure has greater possibility of taking you to your coveted destination.
Spontaneity: Follow your heart and just do it! Take a leap of faith in yourself and go for it. Feel that rush. Allow yourself to commit mistakes and if things go wrong feel Bad for it. Negative feelings are just overhyped don’t worry! Invest time in doing and if you don’t reach your destination at least you will know you can start on your own as well and don’t need to always follow others.
Sometimes Spontaneity is good! :-)

Happy Independence Day!

Earlier the day was important coz it meant yummy ladoos from school the only hurdle was to get up early and dress tidily even on the Day when elder siblings were still sleeping and enjoying their college/work holiday.
Then eventually it promised lot of dance, drama and cultural event practice in school (teachers made it compulsory for junior students and we loved it!) as it meant officially bunking so many boring classes for nothing but practice, cramming patriotic dialogues of Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi . Glorifying their heroic deeds and the mettle. Independence Day was such a fun day with colorful dresses and tricolors!
Then we came to college and omg Independence Day meant no attendance, lectures and more time to hang out with friends, and now again when we are working Independence Day is like a boon to the Monday-Friday 8-7 life, only if it doesn’t fall on a weekend. That feels like such a waste... (Which it is this time!)

Neways, the point is quite LITERALLY we do celebrate Independence Day every year, freedom from our daily job /routine and rules and to live this day as per our wishes and probably we will continue to do so irrespective of the fact that this day is so much more than that.(which some of us realise and many of us dont)
This year also I expected to feel the same but just then my heart sank in to read about the huge corruption scam lingering CWG ,speculated terror attack on India, tribal girl raped in front of villagers,
Turmoil in Kashmir, Politicians fighting over naxals!
And I shivered is India actually free?

Are choices good!

Just when you have decided on one thing the prospect of other options overpowers your logical sense and leaves you bemused. Sometimes, I wonder had their been no choices available Life would have been much simpler and we would have achieved a lot more then what we end up getting now.
Most of our times these days go into deciding what we want (which itself is the most difficult question to answer) and which option to choose from. The whole exercise of analyzing (sometime) and deciding (no other option) leaves us with no energy to proceed further and hence we blame it on the chosen option.
Sometimes, I wonder these choices instead of making us strong have made us weak and vulnerable. We tend to question our decision every now and then and hence the need of somebody approving our decision becomes indispensible (after all we do seek approval and assurance), no wonder every body is trying to do and compete over the same thing( crowd approves of the decision)
And, probably that is why we have so many helplines→consultants→pshyciatrists mushrooming suddenly.

But On the brighter side of it no other way would have helped to inculcate managerial skills in us in a better way. It doesn’t matter which option you choose or what approval/assurance you seek as long as you are getting the results (again result is relative/u define results as what everybody else thinks the result should be). There is no good or bad way of doing things in management there is only two definitions which works here pass or fail.
So it doesn’t matter even if you have chosen the wisest of path but if u still couldn’t get results you have made a BAD decision.
So, the point here is choices are just illusion we still are following the same rules and we still know what we are going to decide(safe and approved) it’s just the gestation which has widened.

Ecstatic!

When is the last time you experienced the Power of U!
Somebody appreciated you not for any amount of accomplishments you have achieved or for the conventional unconventional aspirations you hold from your life but just for your mere existence, the fact that you are there sharing a moment of your life with him.
No amount of expectations and no room for assumptions! Just enjoying and living the moment with utmost sincerity and contentment.
Making the harmony gratifying enough, no words exchanged and no smiles shared.
That’s Ecstasy and that’s Life! You just never know how small and petty things can reward you sometimes.
Sincere thanks to the construction worker I shared a cup of tea with. He made me Happy for being “ME”

Passion!

How bad do you what things in life? Or to put it right do you know what you want in life and to what extent are you ready to pay for it.
This defines the passion for the thing. You are just ready to pay anything for it.
By paying of course I don’t mean something which you can afford but it simply means things which will take away a part of YOU and will be difficult to part with. Does passion means madness, is madness good? However irrational and illogical it is.
So many people I see, observe and follow have achieved things they are proud of, things they always wanted to do, things they have toiled for. And every time I saw them it always looked and felt good. To see them there, right at the helm of success. What remained hidden all this while was the price they must have paid for it. The ethereal/intangible things in life they have compromised or parted with.
Are you Passionate enough is the question here. Can you take that leap of faith and pay whatever it takes. Can it be build/worked on or is it something you either have or U don’t.
